About Hugh

Hugh Kline is a jazz musician and educator from Seattle who currently lives in Bethlehem, PA. Hugh teaches jazz drums on faculty at Moravian University and Lafayette College, as well as teaching privately.
An up-and-coming professional, Hugh has had the opportunity to play extensively with Gene Perla, as well as playing regularly with many other excellent musicians across the United States. He is a longstanding member of the Griffin Woodard Group, and is featured on the albums Completion, Precious One, and Live at the Deer Head Inn.
Hugh studied with the legendary Billy Hart as an undergraduate at Oberlin Conservatory, and received his master’s in music from McGill University, where he studied with renowned drummer and composer John Hollenbeck.
